What is the medicine used for:
For relieving cough symptoms due to the common cold, flu, tuberculosis, bronchitis, pertussis, measles, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, pleural irritation, inhalation of irritating substances, cigarette smoking, and psychogenic cough.
What is in the medicine:
Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) contains:
Dextromethorphan HBr 5 mg, Chlorpheniramine Maleate 1.33 mg, Sodium Citrate Dihydrate 133 mg, Ammonium Chloride 50mg, Glyceryl Guaiacolate (Guaifenesin) 50 mg
How much and how often should you use this medicine:
Orally, every 6 to 8 hours or as prescribed by the physician
2 – 6 years 5 mL (1 teaspoonful)
7 – 12 years 10 mL (2 teaspoonfuls)
Adults and children more than 12 years 15 mL (3 teaspoonfuls)
Infants under 2 years: ask a doctor before use.
